Hire Groups 

The Hire Groups section can be found under the System Admin menu. 1link Hire Network has the provision for you to import your Hire Group information, as well as add and maintain group information manually.  Scheme Operators (your customers) have the facility to set up their own hire groups and then map these to yours. You can download a list of all current Hire Groups held in 1link Hire Network using the Download option after performing a search. 

Hire Group details should contain a Group Code and Description, along with any applicable notes. Setting the group as a Sub-Group allows it to be attached to a different hire group that will map to the Scheme Operator. Hire groups marked as a sub-group cannot be mapped to a Scheme Operator hire group. 

Each hire group should be marked as available in the UK, Internationally or both.  This will affect the choice of hire groups the user sees when responding to the relevant type of Quote Request.  

The Electronic Interface tick box will enable the group for use in bookings processed via an electronic interface. Bookings for groups without this option will appear in the 1link mailbox, even if there is an interface in place.  The Interface Group Code field can be used if the group needs to be identified using a different code on any interface you may wish to use between 1link and your own reservation system. 

Entering information regarding the minimum driver age, luggage capacity, passenger capacity and standard features will allow the Scheme Operator to more accurately map their own groups to yours.
