Adding a tyre to a jobsheet
Running time: 3 minutes 22 seconds
Please note: Any costs added to a jobsheet should be excluding VAT
Select add line item and select the tyres category.
Existing tyre information
You need to provide all the existing tyre information to the Scheme Operators, so they know which tyre is on the vehicle currently.
In the tread depth readings section, first specify the brand and wheel type.
The system will then populate your selections in all the tyres. This can be changed if the brand is not the same for all existing tyres. You need to enter the existing inner, centre and outer tread depths.
Next, you need to enter the tyre sizes.
If this vehicle has already had a tyre change through 1link, this information will pre-populate. The rear tyre size defaults to the same as the front, but there is an option for entering different front and back specifications, if required.
When completed, select save details.
Add tyre work
From here select add work item to add the tyre work. Select the specific type of work you are doing from the work type drop-down menu, such as replacing a tyre, and then tick which of the tyres you are replacing. Click select tyre to open a pop up window to find the tyres you are adding to the vehicle.
Search tyre catalogue
The tyre sizes inputted for the existing tyres will be populated on this window. If this is a TyreServe transaction, please note that the tyre sizes and brands will be uneditable.
You need to enter the brand of the new tyres you are fitting and select search tyre catalogue. If no results are found, each size option has a blank field at the top of the list which can be selected to make your search less specific. There is a clear search criteria button which will remove the existing filters.
When you find your tyre, select it and then enter the individual cost and reason for changing the tyre.
E-procurement
If enabled, there will be a link to our e-procurement tyre wholesale platform where you can buy tyres.
Additional charges
Select if you are charging for valve, balance, casing disposal, seasonal tyre swap or tyre storage. Select save tyre.
DOT code
The final step is to provide the DOT code of the tyre which is to be replaced.
You can enter any additional tyre work, like charges for sundry items or wheel alignment, if applicable.
Once completed, select save details to add this work to your jobsheet.
