1link Next Generation – Scheme Operator Demo
Video Duration: 3 minutes, 44 Seconds
Welcome to a quick introduction to 1link Next Generation. In this video, we’ll take you through the Scheme Operator experience, highlighting some of the key changes and showing you how the authorisation process works. Let’s take a look.
The Next-Generation Service Network Platform is integrated into the existing 1link Service Network product, so there’s no need to log into a separate system. Simply select the jobsheet as you normally would, and it will automatically open within the Next Generation experience.
You’ll then see the new jobsheet layout, with the key information, tasks and authorisation options all available in one place.
When a vehicle is submitted for authorisation for the first time, its work history is automatically displayed in the side panel. The drop-down menu also gives you quick access to other information, including the Activity Log, Customer Record and Instructions.
These sections can be expanded or collapsed, keeping the information you need close at hand without leaving the jobsheet.
Items requiring your attention are highlighted in blue, with the highlights disappearing as they’re actioned.
Scheme Operators also have access to supplier information directly from the jobsheet.
Simply hover over the relevant details to view contact information and supplier preferences, with the option to call the garage using the integrated phone system or copy the number into your preferred system.
You can also add your own task directly to the jobsheet, such as a Service, MOT, Repair or Investigation, giving you a simple way to request additional work from the garage.
Before reviewing individual items, you may see general Rule Failure warnings where a jobsheet rule hasn’t been met.
You can then review the individual authorisation items.
The existing rules system remains in place, meaning items that meet the relevant criteria can be automatically approved without manual intervention.
For items requiring your attention, select View Breakdown to see the individual parts and labour without leaving the jobsheet.
If required, you can also amend the task or add a recharge directly within the jobsheet.
For example, if a labour rate has been submitted higher than the agreed labour rates, you can amend this to the agreed rate per hour.
Once you’ve reviewed the task, you can approve, decline or request more information. When a response is selected, you can add a comment to provide any additional information for the garage.
You can respond to individual tasks, or use the Open Response tab at the bottom of the screen to manage the jobsheet as a whole. Here, you can accept, decline or request more information, with the option to respond to all applicable tasks together.
You can add an overall jobsheet comment and click transmit authority response to send the jobsheet back to the service centre.
